Saint Petersburg in Style

When people think of Grand Age of St.Petersburg, they often think of chic and style of the Imperial Russia. The glamour of those years can be seen today through rich architectural and cultural heritage. When decades of the Soviet uniformity and blandness have finished, the Russians very quickly regained the taste for luxurious lifestyle. It's not surprising that some of the Europe's poshest hotels are situated in St.Petersburg. In addition to that there are plenty of chic restaurants. During this tour the travelers can immerse themselves into the lavish world of magnificent imperial palaces, stately cathedrals and stylish restaurants.

 Program of the tour (for the groups of 6 to15 pax.):

Day.1

Arrival in St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, dinner at the Golden Ostap restaurant.

Day 2

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the city, including visit to the Transfiguration of the Savior Cathedral. Lunch. Tour of the Rimsky-Korsakov museum accomplished by a concert of chamber music. Dinner at the Backstage restaurant (the Mariinsky Theatre’s property).

Day 3

Breakfast. Tour of the Hermitage museum, one of the top art museums in the world,introducesthe highlightsof its art collections and splendid state rooms of the Winter Palace. Unlike an ordinary tour of the Hermitage, the present tour includes a visit to the Golden Treasury, conducted bya Hermitage expert and accomplished by expert’s brief review of the daily routine of the Russian Tsars. Lunch at the Hermitage restaurant. Visit of a ballet master class with alocal choreographerfollowed by a Champagne party with ballet dancers. Evening visit to St.Peter & Paul Cathedral that isopened at this time exclusively for the group. The tour includes a concert of sacred music. Dinner at the Palace of the Grand Duke Nicholas.

Day 4

Breakfast. Check-out. Tour of the Grand Palace in Peterhof (29 km. north-west of St.Petersburg). Lunch at the luxurious Baltic Star Hotel in Strelna. An optional visit to the Konstantinovsky Palace, (nowadays the state residence of the Russian presidentcan bealsoarranged, if the opportunity comes up, foranextra payment. A 30-minute ride to Pushkin. Check-in at the Ekaterina Hotel located in the extension ofthe Great Catherine’s Palace. Welcome reception. During the event the members of the group will be told the overview about the daily routines of the Royal family and the local nobility in their summer residences. A walk in the park. Visit to St. Sophia’s Cathedral attending the mass. Dinner in the refectory of the Cathedral.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Special tour of the Catherine’s Palace including a visit to the museum’s restoration workshop. We take a stroll in the Alexander’s parkA tea party isarrangedin the park,featuring Russian pirogi (pies)and other delicacies.Visit to Kitayeva’s country house, the first house rented by Pushkin after his move from Moscow to St.Petersburg. Return to the hotel. Time at leisure. Dinner at the Admiralty restaurant.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Pavlovsk for a special tour of the Paul’s Palace. Return to Pushkin for riding in carriages (sleighs in winter) in the park. Ferrying the lake in the park for a picnic arranged on a small island. Time at leisure. Farewell dinner in the Guests Chambers of the Catherine’s Palace (the program of the party includes sharing impressions of the tour and presenting a souvenir to each customer).

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
