St. Petersburg in winter has much to offer, it holds intact a thousand relics of the older days, and keeps surprises even for its own citizens.

Arrival in St. Petersburg; transfer to hotel, check-in, dinner.

Day 2

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the city acquaints visitors with the city's highlights and places of interest: the main thoroughfare Nevsky prospect, the ensemble of the Palace Square, the Decembrists Square with the equestrian statue of Peter I, the Admiralty building, the ensemble of the Spit of the Basil's Island, the University, the Field of Mars, the Smolny Cathedral. Free time. Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast. Tour of the the Hermitage museum museum. . The total collection of this extraordinary museum numbers well over 2 million exhibits, therefore the tour aims to acquaint visitors with the most famous masterpieces of the West European Art, the works by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Titian, Rembrandt, Rubens, Van Dyck, and the paintings by French impressionists and post-impressionists. The tour also includes visiting the gala and the private rooms of the Winter Palace. Free time. Dinner

Day 4
|
Breakfast. Excursion to the Alexander Nevsky Cloisters founded during Peter's reign, and well known for the old cemetery where world famous Russian writers, artists and composers were buried. Farewell dinner with folklore show at hotel. Tour of the Peter & Paul Fortress and Cathedral. Founded in 1703 by Peter I it was meant to defend the approaches to the North of Russia from Sweden. Later on it was turned into a political prison. The Cathedral of the Saints Peter & Paul is a burial ground of the Romanov dynasty.
