A longer stay in St. Petersburg enables a visitor to discover the sights and monuments of great interest and value, to have an experience that is beyond the traditional itinerary limits. This exclusive tour provides a tourist with an opportunity to have an extensive sightseeing program in St. Petersburg, to enjoy the sight of the ancient Kremlin and the Cathedrals of Novgorod, and to take a boat trip to the legendary island of Valaam. Surrounded by the waters of the lake Ladoga the island is both a most picturesque sight, and one of the major centres of the Russian Orthodox Church, the old Monastery of Valaam being a special attraction for pilgrims. It takes one night for the visitors to reach this island on board the comfortable m/s "Kronstadt" or "St. Petersburg" (each provides accommodation for 320 passengers). A restaurant, 3 bars, video, music and dancing rooms are at the disposal of the guests. A boat trip around the island to the Valaam Monastery can be arranged optionally. This fascinating trip can be arranged in summer period exclusively because navigation on the Lake Ladoga stops for the rest of the year.
