The subsidiary block is housed in one of the oldest city buildings located in the very heart of St. Petersburg, opposite the Moscow railway station and the metro station. The main thoroughfare of the city, Nevsky prospect, is just around the corner. Most of the main city's attractions are either within walking distance from the hotel or can be easily accessed by public transport. This makes the hotel especially popular with visitors who are short of time. The thorough refurbishment of the hotel rooms was started a few years ago, and is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2002.

• The total number of rooms (available during the period of refurbishment): 81 (21 single rooms, 48 twin-bedded rooms, 4 triples, 8 deluxe rooms). 15 single rooms and 24 twin-bedded rooms will be added by the time of completion of the refurbishment.
