St. Petersburg, one of the world famous cities, is admirable all year round, but every season has its own particular tour for a visitor. In winter the city looks especially charming in its snow attire. It's just in winter when it turns into a unique and distinctive cultural center, easily accessible, and ready to offer the highest standard of services at the most tempting prices.

Day 1

Arrival in St. Petersburg, transfer to hotel, welcome cocktail, check-in; dinner at hotel.

Day 2

Sightseeing tour of the city to see the highlights and the most remarkable sights (stops for taking pictures are provided) including a visit to the Peter & Paul Fortress - the kernel of the city, as the date of its construction is considered to be the birthday of St. Petersburg. The Cathedral of St. Peter & St. Paul, one of the 4 official Cathedrals of the Russian Empire, is a burial ground of the Romanovs' dynasty. Afternoon free; dinner and a folklore performance at the former Palace of the Grand Prince Nicholas; return to hotel.

Day 3

Visit to St. Petersburg churches: St. Nicholas Marine Cathedral, a functioning Russian Orthodox church, designed in the sumptuous baroque style in the 18th century. St. Isaac's Cathedral, the interior of which strikes imagination with its luxury, and with the abundance of gold, semiprecious stones and minerals, frescoes, icon paintings and mosaics used in its decoration. It is a pantheon of the Russian art as the best artists displayed their genius during the 40 years of the construction of the Cathedral. The Redemption Church (St. Savior's Church on the spilt blood) is one of the most beautiful in the city, lavishly ornamented, modeled on the Church of St. Basil in Moscow. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan, a masterpiece of the neo-classical style, built in the beginning of the 19th century, faces the Nevsky prospect. Its colonnade is very much similar to that of St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. The Chesma Church dating back to the 18th century is one of the few neo-gothic buildings in the city. The Trinity Church built in the 19th century was known among its parishioners as "Kulitch and Paskha" (Easter cake, and curd and raisins mixture traditionally eaten at Easter). Dinner at the hotel

Day 4

Visit to the Russian Imperial Residence. Tour of the Tsar's Village (Pushkin): this summer residence of the Russian Imperial families was designed in the Russian baroque style by the famous Russian architect Rastrelli in the 18th century. The Catherine's Palace with over a hundred yards long facade richly decorated with baroque mouldings is a spectacular and overwhelming sight, the more so its exquisite interior with the endless suite of formal and living rooms. Pavlovsk, the most elegant of the Tsars's summer residences, features exquisitely designed gala and private rooms full of the authentic rare objects like furniture sets, tapestries, gifts by the European Royal Courts, a rich collection of clocks, and china. There is a large serene park with pavilions and alleys adorned with sculpture, the right place to get away to from the noisy and crowded Nevsky prospect. Lunch at the typical Russian restaurant "Podvorye".

Day 5

Visit to the world renowned Hermitage museum ; attendance of the ballet master class. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Time at leisure. Walk along the Nevsky prospect; visit one of the Russian markets, shopping, return to hotel. A farewell dinner is served in the Last Palace built for one of the richest aristocrats of St. Petersburg, and the famous patron of arts, Prince Abamelek-Lazarev. Since 1913 this palace was used not only as a popular meeting place for advanced scientists and patrons of arts but also as a place where musical concerts as well as aristocratic balls were arranged.

Day 7

Checkout, transfer to the airport, departure.
