This tour offers an opportunity to extend one's knowledge of Russia, to travel in its history from the ancient times to nowadays. Along with the most frequently visited cities - the two Russian capitals, St. Petersburg and Moscow, you will get acquainted with one of the most celebrated cities of the country, Volgograd, formerly named Stalingrad, the city that came down into the world history after the decisive victory won by the Soviet Army over the Nazi. The battle of Stalingrad was one of the greatest turning points in the Second World War. After the battle the city was a mass of rubble, 85% of its built-up area was demolished. The city was built anew. Now it is a large industrial, scientific and cultural center of the lower Volga. It features a great number of war memorials including, the monument to Motherland on top of the Mamayev Kurgan, the highest point of the city. As the tour proceeds you'll be carried away a few centuries backwards while visiting the highlights of the ancient towns of Russia - the towns of the Golden Ring. The two capitals of Russia will offer you tours of their architectural, cultural and historical monuments, world famous museums, and entertainment.
