Winter adds special charm to St. Petersburg. The city parks and squares covered with light snow look bewitched, and create the impression of cold and spaciousness. The days darken early, but the atmosphere of gaiety and festivities prevails in everything. The blazing of the golden spires, domes, eagles, crosses and crowns is reflected in the snow lying dazzlingly upon the frozen rivers and canals. Famous theaters and concert halls are full. Winter in St. Petersburg is the most enjoyable season offering lots of opportunities that should not be missed!
