Red double-decker buses will run on Moscow streets

Red double-decker buses will be used for Moscow City Tours in the same way as it's been done already in St.Petersburg and many other world's cities. Starting from the end of August the red double-deckers will start to circle along fixed routes in the Moscow historic centre. So far - Moscow is the only big city in Europe where this kind of service was not available.
- Similar to the other cities, the service will be operating on hop on-hop off scheme. It means that having the ticket the tourist may get on and off the bus as many times as needed during the whole day. Altogether there will be 18 stops close to the city's top sights, such as The Kremlin, The Red Square, Manege, St.Basil's Cathedral, Bolshoy Theatre, Christ The Saviour Cathedral etc.
The buses will be running 10 am till 6 pm on weekdays and till 7 pm at the weekends. Night tours are also planned. The ticket will cost 600 roubles (about 20 dollars) for the whole day. Children and elderly will go for 400 roubles, students for 300 roubles. The buses on the rout will be specially designed MAN made vehicles adopted for Russian climate. All of them will be fitted with folding roof and audio system, operating in 8 different languages. Some of the buses will also have double glass windows and heating for the cold time of the year. The progect operated by Spanish company City Sightseeing, that already operates similar services in 80 cities of 24 countries.
