Pushkin Museum
The museum is in the apartment where Alexander Pushkin spent his last four months and where he died on February 27,1837 following his duel with Georges d’Anthes, who apparently had an affair with his wife. The flat was restored in full accordance with sketches made by the court poet Vasily Zhukovsky right away Pushkin’s death. The display includes an impressive library with more than 4500 books, Pushkin’s things and 19th century household objects.
